In this 3-part intensive with Catherine of Mind Potential you will take a Personalized Sensory Profile Assessment (Created and developed by Dr Annemarie Lombard) that breaks down and explains your individual sensory threshold* and helps you to:
Understand how to engage with your environment more mindfully, adapt to the moment, and enhance your communication with others.
Become aware of what you need to do to show up at your best as a parent, at work, or while tackling your to-do list.
Learn what environments allow you to be the most focused and productive and how to make adaptations in the moment when you’re feeling agitated, bored, fatigued, or overstimulated.

More to know about Sensory Thresholds:
*Sensory threshold refers to how much information your brain needs to start firing a response in the rest of your body. “Habituation”is essential for us to get through the day and is how the brain filters stimuli. However, this system does not function the same for everyone.
This is where thresholds come in. Your threshold determines how much information gets processed or ignored. One extreme are people with HIGH thresholds. These people may need a lot more input in order to respond. This could look like boredom, procrastination, and/or fatigue.
On the other end of the spectrum are people with low thresholds. These people typically over-respond to sensory information so they require less input in order to respond. This could look like anxiety, fatigue, and/or fidgety behaviours.
* The Sensory Toolkit: you don’t have an emergency first aid kit because you are constantly injured or sick. You don’t have a toolkit because things in your house are always broken. You have these toolkits as a backup, a plan and a support structure. This is the role of a sensory emotional toolkit, to help you self-regulate. Self-regulation of the senses is an important tool to alert and calm the brain, organize responses, and add the support that ultimately gets you through challenging times.
