Kids are terrified and having extreme meltdowns, throwing things, and some are banging their heads against the wall. Autism is hard.
Why?
They cannot communicate their needs or feelings. Changes are too drastic. Routines are out the window. We all try our best to help them through every meltdown.
But, this is something THEY can do. They can draw their feelings, and then Spectrum Parents can create masterpieces from their art.
Then they can turn to their one-of-a-kind pieces of art and hug it, yell in it, punch it, or love it till they feel better.
