Who: YOU! Individuals with Autism who are between the ages of 6 and 40.
What: Karaoke-This club allows for any/all individuals with ASD to sing their hearts out and enjoy a Tuesday Evening with friends and music. The first half of karaoke club will be spent singing a variety of songs selected by the karaoke artist themselves. The latter half of karaoke club will include a family night and themed musical nights.
Where: Heritage United Methodist Church (815 Baker Rd., Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23462)
When: Every Tuesday from Jan 11th to March 1st from 6:00 PM- 7:30 PM
Why: To sing all time favorite hits and socialize/ hangout with friends. Parents are not required to stay but must have a working phone / contact number and must be able to get to the program location within 15 minutes of calling.
COVID INFO:
Each participant will be given their own microphone buff to be washed after each Karaoke Session. The microphone will be wiped down in-between each use. Each participant will be encouraged to wear a mask when not signing but will be spaced 6ft (or more) apart from other participants. Staff will be masked at all times. Volunteers will be limited. Temperatures and daily health checks will be conducted at the start of every session.
