Tidewater Autism Society Hits ANOTHER Home RUN!

If you are new to the area or a new parent with a child on the spectrum, visit Tidewater Autism Society. They can help you in so many ways- they are my go to for any resource!

Be sure to join their Meet-Up Group to find out about local events, like:

Coffee & Chat: it is held on the first Thursday of every month at Panera Bread, near Pembroke Mall.  Great for everyone-newbies & old timers!  Meet friends & get resources.

Sensory Friendly Movies:  WOW, is all I have to say!!! AMC has teamed up with TASA and made movie going FUN!  We can wiggle, be loud, and not be afraid! They have dimmed the lights so it is not pitch black and turned the sound down, too!  For movies & more info, check out AMC.

SibART: SibArt was developed to meet the needs of children with Autism and their siblings. SibArt’s primary focus is to improve the relationship between siblings in families dealing with autism; however, there are other benefits that are far reaching.  My boys attended SibArt for the first time last month-it was fantastic. Everyone was kind and my kids loved it!

From Surfer's Healing to WRV Surf Camp

Heart Swelling, PURE Love

Surfer’s Healing: Surfer’s Healing is the best.  I have never felt such pure joy.  We started doing Surfer’s Healing in 2008. Both my boys loved it so much that we have started surfing lessons this past summer with WRV, a local surf shop.
