Let’s get together for a Halloween party at The Greene Turtle in Hampton! There will be music, karaoke, a costume contest, and more. There is a kids party from 6-8 pm, but from 8-midnight it is 21+. I am not taking attendance for this, so feel free to bring friends, significant others, or family as well. I will comment closer to the event on what time I plan to be there.

There is a farmer’s market almost every Saturday in May through October at Buckroe Beach in Hampton! I will be there most Saturdays around 10 am, but will post in the event if I cannot make it or have to come at a different time. You are still welcome to attend even if I am not there since the event is open to the public. On days that I am there, you are welcome to meet with me or walk around on your own. There is plenty of parking in the lots and on the streets nearby. I will not be taking attendance for these events. Hope to see some of you there!

Lunch & Lego Club

This event is intended for 9-12 year olds. *BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH* This unique club meets every Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Our group leader facilitates Lego®-based activities, which may include but not be limited to: table top and out-of-seat games, art projects, free build, some healthy competition, and team-building exercises.

The cost for each Lunch n’ Lego session is $20 and there is a discount package available. An initial meet n’ greet must take place in advance of the learner’s first time attending any program at Inside Out Learners. Become a part of our Dungeons and Dragons Club and develop friendships along the way! Roll the dice, explore dark dungeons, abandoned castles, and work together to overcome challenges as you create a world through a story. No need for prior experience, the Game Master will lead you to your vivid imagination of mighty heroes and medieval warriors (and slip in some social skills lessons as well).

Games will be played via a virtual platform on Sundays at 12:00 p.m. and will last anywhere from 1-2 hours. The cost is $20 per game, or purchase a discount package of 6 games for $100. We will continue this program at our learning center in person, once the pandemic restrictions have been lifted. A YOUNGER Dungeons & Dragons Group (ages 9-12) thru Inside Out Learners

Become a part of our Dungeons and Dragons Club and develop friendships along the way! Roll the dice, explore dark dungeons, abandoned castles, and work together to overcome challenges as you create a world through a story. No need for prior experience, the Game Master will lead you to your vivid imagination of mighty heroes and medieval warriors (and slip in some social skills lessons as well).

Games will be played via a virtual platform on Sundays at 12:00 p.m. and will last anywhere from 1-2 hours. The cost is $20 per game, or purchase a discount package of 6 games for $100. We will continue this program at our learning center in person, once the pandemic restrictions have been lifted. First Adventures Holiday Session: My First Garden Class

In this class, we will spend time outdoors exploring the garden and learning all about growing our own foods. Along with our grownups, we will learn about planting and cultivating our own vegetables, herbs, and flowers and how to use those items in our own kitchens at home! At the end of each class, each child will take home what was planted that day and the series will conclude with each child bringing home a decorated pot to replant their herbs in, along with a bird house that they have decorated.

The Virginia Zoo will welcome 29 new animals – the inflatable kind – in this exciting exhibition.

During the day, visitors can look up at a trio of towering 30-foot-tall giraffes and stare into the open mouth of a 5-foot-tall crocodile.

At night, guests will journey on Zoo grounds by car for the first-ever Zoo drive-thru. Watch the inflatable animal sculptures come to life with light in a spectacular visual experience and hear their compelling conservation audio story in this magical display.
